Phyllis Ringel, Ph.D., Executive Director. Dr.
Ringel delivers and develops services and programs consistent
with the agency's mission, works with the board of directors and
its committees, provides leadership and supervision for agency
staff, maintains and improves the agency's visibility in the community,
and provides direct client services.
Dr. Ringel
received an undergraduate degree from Albright College, a MS in
Counseling from Kutztown University and a PhD in Developmental
Psychology from Lehigh University. Prior to assuming leadership
of JFS-LV, Dr. Ringel was interim principal of the Allentown Jewish
Day School. Earlier, she was an adjunct professor at Lehigh University,
a counselor intern at Kutztown University and program coordinator
and director of grant-related fundraising at Northampton Community
College during which time she did career counseling at both Wilson
and Northampton Area High Schools. |

Barry Siegel, M.S.W., L.C.S.W., Clinical Casework Supervisor.
Mr. Siegel provides counseling to individuals, couples and families;
evaluates, monitors and coordinates service to older adults as part
of the SeniorLink program; orders food from Second Harvest for the
Kosher Food Pantry; provides information as part of the Information
and Referral Service; and provides service to Jewish patients at
Allentown State Hospital. He is also a certified hypnotherapist. |

Marcia
Schechter, MS, RN, Co-Coordinator
of Volunteer and Senior Services. Marcia Schechter,
MS, RN has joined JFS-LV as part-time Coordinator of Volunteer
and Senior Programs. She will coordinate volunteer services and
brings Jewish programming to seniors in nursing homes and assisted
living
facilities.
Marcia Schechter
has lived and worked in the Lehigh Valley for many years. She
has a master’s degree in Social Relations,
with a concentration in Adulthood and Aging, and is a Registered
Nurse. Marcia retired a few years ago from her long time position
as a social worker with Northampton County Meals on Wheels
where she evaluated clients’ need for nutritional or
other services. She has also worked as a registered nurse at
Good Shepherd Home
and Hospital and as a home health aide for Northampton County
Visiting Nurses. Marcia is an active volunteer in the community
and in the
HELP program at Lehigh Valley Hospital, where she received
training to visit hospitalized elders. |

Judy
Livny, BA, Co-Coordinator
of Volunteer and Senior Services. Judy
Livny, BA has joined JFS-LV as part-time Coordinator of
Volunteer and Senior Programs. She will coordinate volunteer
services and
brings Jewish programming to seniors in nursing homes and assisted
living
facilities.
Judy Livny and her
family moved to the Lehigh Valley two years ago. She has a
bachelor’s
degree from Tel Aviv University and has completed the intensive
Partners in Policymaking program
for people with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities.
Judy has worked for the NJ Department of Education both as a
volunteer and employee. Her experience includes Parent Support
Group Specialist
and Family Resource Consultant for the Statewide Parent Advocacy
Network; grant writer for the NJ Developmental Disabilities Council;
founder of BEAM (Becoming Educated and Motivated about special
education) of Monmouth; member of the Developmental Disabilities
Council education committee; vice-president of the New Jersey
Prader-Willi Syndrome Association. When she moved to Allentown,
Judy started
the Parkland SEA (Special Education Alliance) in collaboration
with Parkland School District. |

Audrey Sanders, Ph.D. Dr.
Sanders is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides individual
psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. She also facilitates
the
agency's Bereavement Support.
Dr. Sanders
has Ph.D. in research/social psychology and master’s degrees in psychology and sociology
and is licensed as a psychologist by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
and the State of NY. |

Lauren Glick,
MA., Counseling and Assessment. As a result of
a growing demand for our counseling services for children and
adolescents, JFS-LV is delighted to welcome new staff member Lauren
Glick. Lauren does assessment and counseling at the agency part-time,
evenings.
Lauren comes
to JFS-LV with many years' experience providing mental health
services for individuals, families, couples and groups, most recently
at Family and Children's Services in Elizabeth, NJ. She holds
Master of Arts Degrees in Counseling for Children and Adolescents
from Boston College and in Educational Psychology from Kean University.
She is a certified social worker and school psychologist.
In addition
to being a therapist for JFS-LV, Lauren is a school psychologist
for the Readington, Township Public Schools in Whitehouse, NJ. |

Robin Rosenau, M.A., Benefits
Ambassador Program Coordinator. JFS-LV recently
welcomed Robin Rosenau as our new Benefits
Ambassador Program Coordinator. Robin's primary duties are
to recruit, train and coordinate volunteers.
A volunteer
for many years throughout the Lehigh Valley, especially at the
Jewish Day School, Robin is excited about her new involvement.
"When
I think about my involvement in local Jewish organizations over
the past 19 years, one feature quickly comes to mind: Our Lehigh
Valley Jewish community has an amazing history of volunteerism!
Caring, talented individuals routinely donate their time and efforts
to help people and make our institutions great. I truly look forward
to working with our volunteers on this worthwhile project,"

Myra
Saturen, M.S.W., Community Relations Coordinator.
Ms. Saturen publicizes the agency through articles and press releases
to area media, a Senior Brunch and Learn series and outreach to
community facilities and organizations.
Ms. Saturen
is a long-time Valley resident. In addition to her work at JFS-LFV,
she is also a part-time public relations coordinator for Historic
Bethlehem Partnership.
Ms. Saturen
holds an M.S.W. degree and worked as a social worker before beginning
her public relations and writing career. Earlier, she helped JFS-LV
prepare an agency policy and procedures manual.
Ms. Saturen's
historical novel for young adults, Julietta, was published
in 2003 by Royal Fireworks. She is currently working on another
young adult novel, Journey to a New World. |

Renae Unangst, Secretary,
Receptionist. Ms. Unangst greets clients and visitors
to the agency, answers the telephone, maintains the agency's databases
and mailing lists, and provides supportive assistance to the staff. |

Anna Thomas, Bookkeeper.
Ms. Thomas manages bookkeeping responsibilities and other office
procedures, such as insurance, for the agency. |
